Although the year is still young things have been going well for the Austrian eSports Association esvoe in 2010. The association has launched a new tourney concept called "Staatsmeisterschaft" (an Austrian championship), with its own set of rules that have to be applied not only to the final tournament but to all qualifier tourneys that precede it. The qualifiers can also only be held by members of the esvoe and have a certified esvoe referee present. Via these rules the esvoe aims to ensure fair tourneys and comprehensible results. The esvoe has also been pushing the iesf concept of internationally certified referees that have been trained accordingly.
